Good company to work for Good benefits for a bank Good co workers Work / Life balance Product base is competitive

Cons

Company always expects more, never satisfied with your hard work. Management does not recognize accomplishments. Corporate training is ineffective

Pros

perhaps their overall compensation benefits...but it's a lie and joke to say the pay is 'competitive', if you negotiate a 'good' salary, you 'may' be fine, but trying to really go up professionally, or 'relying' on those 'annual raises' ...you will be waiting 10-20 years before you see that 'bump' in compensation

Cons

you never 'catch up' with pay, when problems arise, it's more of a 'who to blame, what to blame, rather than what was the problem, or really finding out the root cause of the problem, it's a major - COVER YOUR OWN @$$ environment, see and hear backtracking, saying one thing one moment and something else the next minute...

Pros

BB&T provides excellent benefits. The company is in a relatively strong financial position and growing.

Cons

With the growth that has occurred lately, the client center focus that BB&T has been known for is now second to earnings and goals. It is starting to feel very similar to many of the big banks. The culture is changing from the top down.
