Pros

I worked with some wonderful people. Opportunities to be creative and there are very interesting accounts. Only good as a resume builder job.

Cons

Many positions at BDA have been moved overseas. You can ask all of the questions you want, but they'll just dance around it. They tell you that you're doing a great job, and then once you make any errors, you're flagged. They do not care about any awards that employees have been nominated for or won. BDA has a very well known reputation for screwing sales people out of large bonuses. They basically set you up to fail. They never set you up for success. There is no "family". You're expected to do whatever it takes, as long as it takes to get the order done. People work during their maternity leaves and vacations. They don't care. They will keep stacking the workload until you break. BDA is constantly trying to reinvent the wheel every year. It doesn't work because the problem is at the top. They use an archaic system that does not fit one of the largest promotional product companies in the US. It's completely inefficient and outdated. Pay and benefits are terrible. The HR department has a revolving door and useless. Micro-management is rampant through BDA. You get in trouble for every single minor error. They do not encourage anyone to take a lunch break or feel comfortable taking one. If you want to work 12 hours a day, they won't stop you even if you're the only person in the building. You can't trust anyone in management. They will turn on you and lie so easily to your face. Morale sucks. Way too much favoritism. I've also seen executive leadership act very inappropriately with employees during sales conferences. It's not ok.

Pros

There no pros at all.

Cons

This company is very unorganized, and needs to be shut down. Management treats their employees like crap. This place can never keep their employees as they are always quitting.

Hi There, Thank you for providing this feedback and we're sorry that you feel BDA leadership isn’t performing at optimal levels. Like any team, performance can go up and down but we’d like to build more consistency so that our associates feel confident that we are pulling in the same direction. It’s no secret that BDA has experienced incredible growth in a very short period of time and it has strained all of us. It’s no excuse but it’s reality and that’s where we need to rely on our core values, that team, family, and making things happen the best way will get us to a more organized and consistent place. As we work to improve, it would be really helpful to hear more of your thoughts so that we can work to improve the situation. If you would like, please send us a personal message at feedback@bdainc.com to continue the conversation. Sincerely, BDA HR

Pros

Some really talented people. Flexible hours. Relaxed dress code.

Cons

Serious lack of competent leadership. No processes in place and Oracle system is not set up to work to it's full capability, causing many, many work arounds that also do not work. The company appears cheap and appears not to care at all, about employees, therefore hire contract workers to use them up and spit them out. Promises of bonuses that never materialize. No comunication and thus work reactively instead of proactively. Upper Management spins information, pushes questions off to another time, which never really get answered and when an answer comes, it is vague, misleading and untrustworthy. There is a general feeling of doom that lingers in the hallways.
