Pros

Company parties are extravagant, but don't make up for all the crap you have to deal with day to day

Cons

Owners are horrible! They are not educated past high school, and it shows in their decision making and leadership decisions. The culture feels like being back in high school complete with cliques, different groups fighting for favor or budget, and no real regard for personal/professional development, or meeting customer needs.

Pros

The people you work with are pretty cool. You get to learn how to source cool products. Occasionally, they will even provide you with breakfast or lunch. Paid holidays are a plus and the 401k matching.

Cons

It is regularly very overwhelming and stressful. You have a lot to do in a short amount of time and don't always have the proper training/help available to you. You get A TON of emails and have to know how to manage them properly and file them away to reference later. The environment is very fast paced and it can be hard to get time off. You have to find someone who's willing to cover for you if you want to take a day off, which can be tricky at times. The CEO strikes me as a summer sales bro, which makes me not too fond of him or the environment he fosters. Benefits also suck if you have more than just yourself you're trying to get covered. I'm not saying don't take the job--because there are definitely people who will thrive in this environment--but it's not for everyone. Only take this job if you have an absolute love of sales and the stress associated with it.

Thank you for such a balanced review! We acknowledge the workload has increased. Our HR team is working Hard to bring in new team members to better distribute the weight. We would love to hear your ideas for how to communicate more efficiently and also how to better cover time away (which everyone deserves!) Also, what practical training would help moving forward? Your ideas will help us improve! Please email us at feedback@bdainc.com.
