Pros

You are exposed to different types of customers that are great to work with. This isn’t a pro for BDP, just to be clear. I could not think of any. This is saying the customers BDP contracts treat us with more respect then BDP personnel does.

Cons

Where do I start, the management for starters needs to be seriously looked at. The managers chosen are not professional. There’s no professional attitude enforced with there managers, they can get away with anything! Second, there is absolutely no formal training. You learn by looking over someone’s shoulder and that person does things very different then the colleague next to them. So yes there’s a lot of confusion; there’s no cohesiveness. The benefits at BDP are awful! You do not work at BDP for their benefits, you work at BDP for a paycheck. I’ve heard of companies that have amazing benefits, my advise is to go work there. If you get pregnant while employed at BDP, be prepared to use your vacation time for your maternity leave. BDP also cuts corners to “save money” by making you clean the kitchen and taking you away from your work to work the front desk instead of hiring a back up front desk clerk. They do not pay you extra and this is not included in your duties. I don’t know how legal this is? In summary, BDP will treat you as a desk jockey, and not even a valued desk jockey.

Hello, Thank you for posting. At BDP, we work closely with our management team at all levels to ensure there is consistency and professionalism in our training programs. We also offer many employee courses through our online portal, BDP University, that serve to complement the functional training that our employees receive. Our competitive benefits packages do come in a variety of levels, each employee can designate the appropriate coverage to best suit his / her needs. As it relates to maternity leave, our policy is 100% aligned with the FMLA standards as determined by the US government. We do ask that our employees respect others in the workspace, and therefore do ask that they keep any kitchen or common area clean after each use so that other employees may enjoy the use of these spaces. HR is always available to discuss any needs or concerns of our employees and will escalate any concerns accordingly with the corporate team.

Pros

Easy job. Don't have to get dressed up to work. Free coffee. Great place to get experience for a much better job.

Cons

Compensation was incredibly low. Many employees are very unprofessional and use a lot of foul language throughout the work day as well as management and upper management. Training is horrible to non-existent and there is no designated trainer so you will probably be ignored for the first day or two or until someone finally gets around to "dealing with you". This company, at least in the York office was very clique-y and if you don't fit their particular style or behaviors you will be singled out by the managers and they will lie in order to have you fired or look for petty excuses to have you terminated.

Not very rewarding

Pros

Learning opportunity before moving on to something else. Hour breaks . Off on weekends . PTO

Cons

"Upper" Management is terrible. There should be an onsite HR rep, to many things get swept under the rug. No growth for people that work hard.

Thank you for your feedback. With 145 offices, it is not possible to have an HR rep in each location (especially without a location listed in this review). That being said, we have an extremely qualified and hard working HR team spread throughout the globe that are able to assist with any concerns from our employees. BDP offers employees various opportunities for growth, including an Internal Mobility program and Leadership Development Program.
