Pros

Our people are really everything. BECU lives by that. The incentives are phenomenal. Great health benefits, a 401K match program, and life insurance for their employees to name a few.

Cons

Upward mobility only exists in the department in which you are hired. They do not actively open internship opportunities to current employees. Understandable from a business and payroll perspective, but is ineffective in creating value and building tenure with employees.

Flexibility of schedule Super supportive teams Employee culture BECU really lives by the values and philosophy of People Helping People. They use the member as their guide for decision making which feels incredibly refreshing for a financial institution to be so very mission driven. It translates into the every day culture where employees are empowered to do the right thing for the member.

Cons

Located in Tukwila, which isn't super convenient

Pros

The people, the support, the benefits!! Love my coworkers, my leadership, and my job! Great organization to be a part of. A company that truly believes in putting people first. A company that supports the community as well as their employees and encourages community service and education.

Cons

Small but mighty teams, heavy workloads, and goal expectation make day to day activities a bit stressful and tense at times. Even the greatest of focused multi-taskers have challenges keeping pace. Overwhelming fast pace can cause one to burnout.
