      Decent Benefits for singles. 15 days PTO. Nice co-workers.

      Smart Resources has definitely changed for the worse over the past 9 months or so. Purchased by BG Staffing in late 2017, Upper Management appears to be on a mission to burn down the company they bought. It is unclear what their mission is. Many people have either been pushed out, due to Management's seemingly "Rule by Fear" policy. Others have been fired, even Top producers. Even if your production is good, you are not safe. The Chicagoland offices are not doing well and the pressure is on everyone to turn it around. It is shameful the way they are treating people. Oh, and whether you quit, or get fired, the day it happens will be your last day, so better be prepared for that.

      Poor pay, erratic schedule, intended and confirmed work schedule changes/cancels without notice. The company works primarily with the business client in interest, not the employees who staff them.

      Pros

      Got to meet interesting people through the interviews while learning about the property management industry. The office was new so it was good experience to be in a new market. The DOS that I worked under was the most helpful and very experienced. She definitely took on more than she had to but was a great role model and taught me a lot. Definitely made it more enjoyable to go to work every day.

      Cons

      Corporate just did some Webinars and group calls for training. Everything was remote from the corporate office which definitely seemed to have an overall effect on the communication and and what was expected. The staffing coordinator at the time was almost pointless to have because he was managing other locations and paid more attention to those areas. Overall seemed unorganized. I would definitely love to get into the property management industry but I would probably go through another agency. They say you are temp to perm but when you are done with your temp period they will most likely tell you not to come back tomorrow.
