Pros

Pretty standard benefits for any similar company. Initial starting wage seemed appropriate and I was assured I would receive a 90 day increase. Good discount on Bissell products.

Cons

What you are told while interviewing and negotiating your possible starting wage/benefits it is unfortunately not how it works out to be. I personally was assured I’d be eligible for the fist coming up bonus and wage increase however my supervisor either was negligible or simply lied. The orientation process is an absolute joke, if you want to know the company policies you will have to read to handbook on your own time. I’d recommend it because I was also told information on company policy that wasn’t correct and this was during the time you typically learn many of the company policies. Your job and job description can very easily change as the manager needs. Also includes mandatory OT do to high turnover in nearly all departments. And my final con even though I have more I could list, the attendance policy is outrageously strict, if your shift starts at 6 and you punch in at 6 you will be considered tardy. Oh and you might not find out you have multiple tardy points until a verbal warning. Sorry final one I promise, if you suck up, speak praises of your superiors, you have a significantly better chance of promotion or higher pay even if you are not good in the slightest bit at your job

Pros

Pretty nice building with a cafe and cafeteria. Summer we get half day Friday's. Nice office furniture. Water fall, actually two water falls.

Cons

It is layered to the max; CEO, president, Vice President, senior director, director, associate director, senior manager, manager, associate manager, senior specialist, associate, coordinator. Things move slow; company just recently updated to an ERP system. Decision making power is non existent for underlings. Do one thing say another or say one and do nothing. Compensation is not really ideal. People leave because the future looks poor. Stuck in the old times and will become difficult to keep up with other brands that invest in e-commerce. Company cares too much on image. For example...driving certain associates to post positive painted reviews.

Pros

The associates here are awesome! Everyone is willing to help and super nice. The culture here is incredible and fun. I love coming into work everyday, especially since everyday is different. The cafeteria here is amazing as well. the food is high quality and low price. There is no need to pack a lunch. This is honestly the best company I have ever worked for.

Cons

As of now there aren't any cons to working at BISSELL. I love it!
