Pros

The culture is coming back. We are a mean and lean organization. We have to work together to get the job done and most everyone pulls together to deliver. We make GREAT products, so we deliver to our consumers. We also deliver to our customers, winning Supply Chain awards from top customers every year.

Cons

If I hear resource constraint one more time I think I will keel over. In a company our size, you don't have to do things perfectly, second-guess or third-guess all decisions, or be best in practice in everything -- sometimes it's ok to take a chance with a group of dedicated associates and do what needs to be done.

Pros

This is the kind of company that is full of opportunities and friendly people. Has an environment that encourages thinking outside the box.

Cons

Tight budgets. Hard to implement any of the ideas, due to budget constraints. You need to work in right department (marketing) to be taken seriously.

Pros

The people at BISSELL are amazing! Most talented group that I have ever had the pleasure of working with. When I first started at BISSELL, the atmosphere was great. People worked extremely hard and would do just about anything for the team and for each other. Bonuses were unbelievable! Facilities are top notch - the food at the Cafeteria is really good and the coffee bar is a nice touch. They really try to be a family company. The summer hours are great!

Cons

When the market changed and times were not so great, management freaked out and made some very poor decisions. A lot of really great people left and the culture morphed into uncertainty and fear. Culture became very competitive (by design from management) and the "it's all about the team" concept turned into the "it's all about me" concept. I believe the HR department should recieve the biggest amount of blame for this change. Nobody trusts them. A lot of decisions they made do not make any sense. They let go of a lot of really talented people.
