Pros

Clean and pleasant work environment. Great benefits, even for part time employees

Cons

Non clinical employees (patient registrars, custodians and food service staff) do not receive any bonuses or incentives to pick up shifts . No one is allowed to trade shifts unless ALL shifts are covered for the pay period - which lasts 2 weeks. This is unfair because not all employees are trained in all areas in the department. They major on the minor things that don't matter and lost over half of the department due to their lack of flexibility. BJC as a whole is a great company, but management within Progress West Registration department is known to be poor . No where to advance beyond the department without a degree.

Pros

- Comprehensive benefits - Coworkers are friendly and supportive

Cons

- Incompetent, oblivious, unsupportive management/supervisors - The people in charge are worried about numbers, not their employees or patients - Everyone is overworked and overwhelmed - No evaluations, no reviews, no performance-based raises - No opportunity for growth (unless you’re clinical) - Retention is a joke - No opportunity to telecommute, work remotely, or relocate to more accessible offices - There isn’t a consistent schedule and hours don’t allow for any work-life balance - You have to use PTO for holidays--if you get holidays - There is no competent backup/training for backup, so you feel punished for taking sick days or vacation - Unsafe parking conditions - Costly benefits

Pros

Clinical staff and business customers are great to work with!

Cons

> More work than staff. > Leadership does not value any staff that is lower than a Group Manager unless you are on one specific team. > Leadership has no respect for employees who have been with the organization for 10, 15, 20 years +.
