Pros

The interview process was fine I guess?

Cons

When I started, I was warned about a hyper-competitive employee who wanted my job. I was warned by managers and employees. When they struck and started to ruin my reputation, no one had my back. They had completely forgotten what they told me months ago. I started having panic attacks and desperately called HR for help. They didn't help. I was able to find a different spot, and there the other bankers were incredibly mean to me. Honestly, I ended up with PTSD from this place. I know, what you're saying, "Hey, maybe it's your fault!" I'll tell you: I never, ever had a problem with my fellow employees/reports until I went here. The environment BMO fosters just creates this situation where everyone is trying to climb over everyone else. It's gross.

Pros

Perfect work and life balance.

Cons

I had the worst manager here and I feel for anyone who has to work for this person again. They made decisions based on their emotions, meaning they would tell me one thing and then later tell me another. I'd get permission to WFH and then my boss would call to literally check up on me, like I'm not an adult, and then freak out when I said I was WFH. Even though I was told... on that specific day.... I could. What??? The pay is laughably, and I mean laughably bad. It's insulting. Not to mention I never had anything to do here - how is that even possible? I was paid to do nothing at this job and it was torture. I was basically the assistant to someone who had such an ego, they felt they needed an assistant, when really my salary was just a waste of money for the company. SO glad I don't work here anymore!!!
