The offshore model is not the best and offshore staff is prevalent. The experience can be good if you work for the right manager.

When it comes down to the pursuit of the vision on a more localized level, individual departments can and do falter at a very noticeable level. Poor management and poor leadership can create situations where work-life balance becomes a dream, and Sacrifice For the Needs of the Client becomes the mantra of the department. From a personal perspective, it's driven out a lot of good employees, with few replacements and too late to make a difference.
