Pros

*Flexibility in schedule *Good location for those outside city *Office reno made office look good, young, hip, modern...but that is a facade to clients and trying to catch eye of younger workforce.

Cons

*Managers don't know how to manage people or process.  *Lack of process.  There is and has been very little in the way of process and communication across or within groups in the company. *Old infrastructure that is not dynamic...making for a clunky base.   *Review process.  Managers rate on quota system.  *Management communication is very poor. *Education.  There is minimal to no relevant training. Training for new technologies is non existant. *I've seen lateral moves but in my time here, and I've been here a while at this point, I realized recently I've never seen any upward moves. A go nowhere company *Managers are leave for 2 hr lunches and return loud and drink in offices on Friday's laughing, swearing and acting like frat boys of an undiverse fraternity.

Better than Many

Pros

Opportunity to be involved with community partnerships and employee resource groups where additional skills can be learned. Vacation and Holidays are adequate. Official flexibility in working arrangements- if you don’t care about promotions.

Cons

No good deed goes unpunished- do a great job, no promotion but more responsibility. Networking remains key to get promoted. Secrets abound amongst management levels and while empowerment and giving feedback is encouraged, it is hard to believe it does anything but put your name on a list. Recognition is dismal for satellite offices. Working for a financial institution in general is filled with constraints and stressful.

Pros

Decent opportunities to participate in training, volunteer time and other soft perks.

Cons

- changes in management have resulted in a churn of staff, with often those with the most systemic knowledge being shown the door. management often has no knowledge of business line and makes changes without understanding their consequences, only to move on before the changes are completely implemented. - continued devaluing of employees are evident in decreasing merit increases and bonus numbers, even in the face of solid performance and increasing stock dividends and buybacks. - desire for immediate results from C-Suite have led to unrealistic expectations filtering down through the firm, with realistic on the ground assessments being disregarded as line of business execs Manage Up - general feeling of disengagement permeates the organization.
