Pros

Entrepreneurship culture which allows new ideas to be funded and developed Younger staff work hard and are diligent Know how to play hard

Cons

MDs don't in the main have a grasp on what is going on (with a few exceptions) Culture is terrible - people often don't say hello in the morning. Very disperate teams which do not cross over so sense of company is different London office MD does not want the responsibility and is not managing the office well Hiring is in a number of cases based on who you know in the firm Lots of behaviour which the organisation turn a blind eye to - driking and disturbance and worse in the office and MDs take part in this

Pros

Autonomous environment which is good. Entrepreneurial environment which is good. Opportunity available to those who step and take them. Can learn.

Cons

The firm tries to be too much and be everywhere. Growth is preferred over assimilation and depth of expertise. Scattered and constantly changing approach to staff management.

Pros

Great opportunities to learn and develop analytic and research skills. Depending on location and office size, casework can be diverse. Collegiate office atmosphere and people are typically very collaborative and helpful.

Cons

Work-life balance varies with season and how busy the office is. Managers don't always respect staff's time-- e.g. unresponsive to emails, keeping people late with no work. Overemphasis on getting billable work often compromises work-life balance and professional growth. A lot of work is data heavy for entry levels, often limited to SQL, Excel, and STATA.
