Pros

The best part of working a Ballad is the people. Even the larger hospitals have a small hospital family feel. The staff is team oriented and the managers care about the teams they work with. We take good care of each other. The benefits package is very good. Low premiums for health insurance and a generous paid time off plan. Ballad also offers a retirement plan with a company match on the employee's dollars invested. From the top down, leadership cares about the team and providing the best care possible to patients and their families.

Everything else..pay was a joke in non-medical departments and has gotten even worse. I was doing jobs that experienced techs and nurses should have been doing with no extra pay for it. Horrible co worker because everyone hated their job. Very low moral. witnessed bad patient care that bordered on abuse. CEOs were getting their fat bonuses and did not care about the staff unless you were in upper management. Merger created a monopoly that will eventually devastate this town and surrounding communities.
