Pros

Recruiters blatantly lie about current sdr performance during interview process! New campus with many perks, 2024?

Cons

Sales org - boys club, club, diversity issues, inappropriate behavior toward women, hires painfully unqualified sales leaders with not enough experience, everyone continues to quit / high turnover, low pay (justified by nonexistent campus), half the sales leaders are condescending/heartless and don’t help with career progression. The growth opportunities don’t come even after 18 months in the role Bandwidth - shortcomings & lack of perks are justified by this new campus in the future

Pros

Benefits package includes just about everything Lots of fun after-work events

Cons

Low pay more than offsets benefits. Work-life balance is a myth. You can work every day in some departments and it still won't be enough. You might be working on your vacation time too. Management hasn't had any training in leadership, or the legal requirements of managing people, and it shows. Micromanagement, verbal abuse, and discrimination are pretty common here. Cliquishness disguised as a search for a "culture fit." I felt like I was back in middle school. Technology is dated, opportunities for advancement are limited. This place probably won't advance your career unless you've just graduated and need a first job. Otherwise, it's probably not for you. Politics is the name of the game. Upper management comes from Microsoft in the "bad old days" and has modeled their work culture to follow that. Microsoft has learned and is changing their ways. Bandwidth doesn't seem to want to follow their example.

Pros

Work life balance and 90-minute lunches are the big perks at Bandwidth. You can essentially come and go as you please so long is there isn't a huge project looming, at which point they grind developers to the bone. Paid insurance premiums are nice. Lots of free t-shirts. Fun co-workers. The CEO is truly a great man and knows everyone by name.

Cons

Management seems to lack a sense of direction; priorities change on almost a daily basis with little explanation as to why. There isn't much room for growth internally and pay is generally much lower than other companies in the area. Generally no clear career path; if you ask about it, you'll get a generalized answer and a loose promise of something down the road with little follow through. No bonuses or stock options for most employees. Very top heavy - directors and VPs for just about everything you can think of. Some don't even have anyone reporting to them. HR needs a tough look under the magnifying glass - It's hard to get a timely response on anything that runs through HR including interviews/hiring, compensation reviews or personnel issues. Lots of turnover in the past year.
