Pros

1. Every manager I've had very much cares about your personal and career development. They really want you to succeed and grow within the company. 2. The culture is generally great and I'll have memories that last a lifetime with some co-workers. I am grateful for a company that does embrace the in person culture post-vaccines. 3. Your voice matters. Speaking to your manager & people services manager, candidly, actually gets you places!

Cons

1. Salaries can be somewhat on the lower side. You generally could paid more at a larger company. 2. Unfortunately, I am not a fan of how the CEO handled covid during earlier stages. There was a push, by the CEO, to get people back in the office 6 months before vaccines were available to the general public. This never panned out as cases were rising significantly during that time period. 3. We are all back in the office now and there's no way to know if everyone you work with is vaccinated.

Pros

Benefits NC State amenities Room to grow

Cons

Low Pay Micro Management Toxic Culture (Boys Club) Lack of Diversity Pay attention to the critical reviews as well as the copied and pasted canned responses no doubt by the People Services team. The cons/reviews are consistent, low pay with zero flexibility with high expectations of work and delivery with no return. You may get a recognition email and a $25 Amazon gift card if nominated by your peers. COVID response was horrible. Being 300 percent candid is not a real thing. Management will pull you aside if you give professional feedback and chastise for your response. All of operations are being overworked, underpaid, and undertrained. Devs are underpaid and not given the necessary tools to succeed. People are leaving at an alarming rate. Constant reorganization happening around different departments. The Whole Person Promise looks good on paper but employees know the truth and this last year showed exactly where commitments stand.

Pros

* Good healthcare * Decent culture * Work life balance * Gym benefit

Cons

The CEO acts like he cares about employees but doesn't. True colors were shown during the pandemic. At the height of it, he told employees to come into the office and to not be paralyzed by fear, and to "trust him." In other words, put your health and safety beneath the company's goals. In all hands meetings throughout the pandemic, we were told a balance would be found between remote and in office post-pandemic. Recently, this was mandated to be 100% in office. Aside from the covid botching: * Some codebases have a ton of tech debt that is not prioritized * Bandmates are told to be "300% candid" but it's more of a meme. Management is never 300% candid and sometimes speaks through so many wiggle words you have no idea what they're actually saying. * Employees aren't trusted. This is why we aren't allowed to work remotely anymore. Needless to say, the feeling is mutual given the lies about finding a middle ground with respect to remote work. * Pay is pretty low, so devs leave after a couple years.

Thank you for your feedback. Our unique culture is built on the close collaboration and creative energy of working in person. That’s why we’re building a new headquarters campus with great amenities to continue growing in a culture of being together. We encourage Bandmates to reach out to their manager or People Services to address special circumstances.
