The Band just isn't the Band anymore.

Pros

Fully covered insurance- huge win at a corporate employer. The majority of my team was incredibly talented and supportive (though quite a few of those have since left the company). The "Bandwidth vibe". I love the colors, the creativity, the teleponies, overall the brand was something you don't find at other companies.

Cons

2 of my 3 leaders were inconsiderate, manipulative, micromanagers. Their teams are crumbling and leaving in droves and nobody above them seems to realize that THEY are the problem. Returning 9-5, M-F with almost no flexibility was a huge mistake for this company. I know not every person has this experience, which is another issue. It depends on the manager how you're treated. Type of managers that would question you if your Slack bubble went away. Also.. requiring such a strict RTO is absurd considering people are still currently being hired for remote roles. Complete lack of trust in their employees who are all some of the best I've had the pleasure to work with. Everyone *specifically in the marketing department* goes above and beyond whenever they can. I can't think of one person that would slack off or try to pass off work. Compensation relatively low even with the covered benefits. I left for a different company in a similar role and got nearly a $20k raise.

Pros

Benefits and commission incentives, work environment/colleagues, 90 minute workout lunches

Cons

How long it takes to move up in SDR program. Stuck in the same role because of "promotion freezes"

Great place to work if it lines up with your values.

Pros

Your success depends on what you put in. You get to work with exciting technology to build out robust products. Option to move between teams and projects if you are in good standing. The option for 90 minute workout lunches as long as you meet work commitments. Great benefits compared to industry. New HQ has great amenities with access to greenways and trails.

Cons

In office with no WFH (very very limited flexibility). It’s really hard work sometimes. Teams balance heavy workloads but relative to the industry it’s still within reason. Compensation could be higher. The Raleigh HQ Bandwidth experience differs from other locations.
