Pros

They had free employee lunches and some pretty good perks like the health insurance. That’s about it.

Cons

Management didn’t know what was going on and was totally incompetent, customers were verbally abusive and management did nothing about it, hours were horrible and strategically left out in the interview process that you have to work 11-8 for a full week once every few weeks.

Pros

Bandwidth has a good culture and good benefits, and I really like the people I work with. In my experience, I've had supportive managers that promote growth opportunities from an experience, upper management exposure, and salary perspective. It's also on a new campus with a lot of great amenities.

Cons

Very technical market/products to understand. The organization is very hierarchical with some top-down decisions. There's also a lot of hypocrisy with workers required to be in-person, but many exec and upper management roles are remote.

Benefits are Great, Job not So Much

Pros

- Company paid for medical and dental health insurance for yourself, your spouse and all of your children - 90 minute lunches - 20 PTO days - Brand new nature inspired office with an onsite Montessori based childcare center, walking trails, sports fields, cafeteria, gym, a customer experience center with meeting rooms designated specifically for when customers come on site, and an barn style event center - Most of the BANDmates across the company are awesome, extremely driven and really care about your success in addition to their own.

Cons

- If you are not based in the Raleigh-Durham area or plan to move there upon getting hired, do not work here. It’s mandatory 5 day in office culture. - Salary is lower compared to other companies hiring either remotely or in the Raleigh-Durham area (I think it’s because of the all paid for medical and dental insurance) - It’s currently a tough environment to sell in. Bandwidth is behind on a lot of products that Twilio, Telnyx and Sinch have already had put in the market for years. Oftentimes I’ve seen BANDmates have to resort to beg customers for business based on lowering the price. For now, Call Assure and Maestro are the only two differentiator products Bandwidth has in market. - Voxbone systems and the Dashboard are not fully integrated yet (could have been because they haven’t found the appropriate resources to remedy this at the time). - Although Bandwidth wants customers to come visit them at the new office, they will only cover meals and maybe a fun event; flights and hotel costs are on the customer.
