Pros

Decent pay, fairly nice corporate campus in a good location. Good focus on modern banking practices, such as personal and electronic banking.

Cons

The senior executives seem to be running the bank in order to drive up the stock price so that they can sell out and cash in. Not enough short to medium term focus and investment. Not much future in the branches, as most are deemed as obsolete. Very little training offered for the employees. You are supposed to walk in as a new hire and hit the ground running. They prefer to hire people who are already trained instead of training and promoting the existing staff. The benefits are mediocre at best. They offer a employee health program, but it seems to be a cynical attempt to drive down health care costs as opposed to improving the well-being of the employees.

Pros

Bank Holidays and what I think may be reasonable compensation but since I haven't verified this on Glass Door I am not sure.

Cons

This place appears to have been the inspiration for the movie "Office Space" Unreasonable Expectations Too many Chiefs, not enough Indians The average team member is working 10+ hours a day but during the employee review you will find out that according to your manager your just an adequate employee. Constantly changing processes and procedures. Adequate training is not provided for these new processes and procedures Most of the time, information has to be entered across multiple platforms that don't communicate with each other so you find yourself entering the same data multiple times. Since you never have proper training you never know what your doing is right or wrong until it is too late. Career Advancement seems to be non existent. Experienced people leave due to the unreasonable workload and instead of replacing the person, they just spread that workload across the people who are still there which is creating a vicious circle. Currently this department seems to be at least 40% understaffed and it is unlikely that they will be hiring anytime soon.

Pros

Work life balance and hours

Cons

Management sucks Training sucks You’re expected to know what you’re doing even you don’t receive proper training. This is a very “self-taught” bank- if you’re not capable of reading policy tech and teaching yourself how to do things, don’t come here! If you make a mistake, you get written up. Every little thing is a write up. Don’t trust your management and if they give you an order, make sure to double check, verify, and even get whatever instructions told to you in writing or email. If you don’t, you’ll pay the consequences for someone else’s mistake if they tell you to do something and it’s wrong.
