Pros

Support for flexible working. Great location. Offices are nice and facilities are newish. Pay is ok for lower level roles. Work with some good people. Gender inclusive parental leave policy. Free fruit and (bad) coffee. Lunch breaks?

Cons

Pay is sub-par for specialist roles. Workload can be excessive. Poor risk culture. Tendency for upper leadership to ignore cultural issues or push the accountability back on the afflicted. Don't practice what they preach around professional development and "fun" working environment. Very political. Technology in use is outdated or not fit for purpose. Any dip in profits against projection means that staff benefits are the first to get axed. 'Bean counter' style spend management. New employees from "sexy" backgrounds (such as start ups) are given preferential treatment over tenured employees.

Pros

- Great flexibility, people can work from home with the proper arrangements, there isn't *too much* bigotry towards later starters. - Career progression, moving to other teams. - Change management are very helpful. - Nice building.

Cons

- Fellow developers will shank you in the back. - Expect to be thrown under the bus frequently. - Play the game or be prepared to look like an under-deliverer. - Seriously Machiavellian. - Some team members will aggressively steal all the work to look good on their performance reviews. - Agile is used as a monitoring tool. - Agile is used to dictate process, not focus on people. - People will stare at your screen in the most unsubtle way when talking to you, to make sure you're not slacking off. - Intolerant and arrogant senior developers. - Focus on process kills delivery to the business.

Pros

Nice central location Nice office A few nice people around if you can find them

Cons

Selfish and rude management more interested in furthering their own careers then addressing toxic culture. Large number of incomptent leaders that have alot of very short term placements elsewhere. High management leaving quickly. Fast turn around on staff and a lot of damaged people seem to be long term.
