Pros

Culture is relaxed, depending on department. Flexible working arrangements are good.

Cons

Office politics, not a meritocracy. Too many old school people running the show and they are loyal to their old ways.. Needs to change.

Pros

No pros.....company looks good from outside....from inside, its a mess.....lots of incompetent people have gone to the top.... with the exception of the CEO who is tops! If senior management ... can run separate businesses on company time ... YAY double salary.

Cons

1. Vision-less Unethical Top management - so much for Integrity, accountability etc 2. Non meritorious boot-licking culture. 3. Work unpaid overtime to compensate for managers running businesses on company time. 4. Promoter driven company- Top management consists of friends - No scope for an outsider to reach the top no matter how well they performs. 5. Extremely high attrition rate. 6. Performance bonus is never paid. 7. Salary increment/appraisal is even worse than government company. Advice.

Pros

Through using my strong personal brand (previously managed a tanning salon and Jenny Craig franchise) I was able to achieve a meteoric type ascent right up into the core of the main bosses who run the phone room at Bankwest. I can't stress enough how a strong network of friends can really accelerate your career. The day to day stuff you can kinda pick up along the way and by listening and observing your peers as they ease into getting an understanding of the hows and what's of the role. I sincerely thank my friends for the wonderful opportunities they provided, I can only hope to be a big boss one day and repay the favour, thank you.

Cons

This segment of business is frankly embarrassing to be part of, every time a metric blows out we simply rejig it's elements and roll that dream out as a success to celebrate. Im ashamed and frankly amazed at the tolerance the organisation has for essentially a shell game. I wish I lacked scruples and could stay and keep a feeling of worth like everyone else, sadly I lack the Machiavellian/Dissonance levels required.
