Pros

The medical staff are very open to Child Life and are willing to help and develop new specialists.

Cons

The child life team is not very cohesive, there is not a good orientation period, and the work expectations are constantly shifting.

Pros

Good place to learn basic DME Tech stuff. Good Benefits.

Cons

DME department can seem unorganized. Techs are left to make decisions after hours on call regarding if patient qualifies for equipment and insurance coverage. On call 5pm friday straight thru to 8am monday when office opens. So be ready for non stop action. BS calls in middle of night awake at 2am 3am so on. Some patients never happy. High turnover, intake always seems stressed out. Not much upward mobility, that is for sure from tech standpoint
