      Lots to keep people busy, various departments and positions to fit the desire of anyone looking to work in healthcare, many hard-working people in the company

      Cons

      View on promoting within, managing finances and taking care of employees way out of whack; more interested in keeping employees stalled in current positions and hiring outsiders, even if less than qualified, spends money on acquiring too many new facilities instead of increasing salaries for loyal employees

      Pros

      Steady paycheck, standard benefits for industry, easy to stay employed as long as you meet minimum requirements. Great "play it safe" job.

      Cons

      Highly disorganized, yet overly structured. Extremely reactive company with sweeping changes that come anytime a shortcoming is realized. Company has attempted to control costs since 2009 by cutting a little from everyone overall (smaller raises, no bonuses) rather than make meaningful cuts.

      Pros

      Banner is very tachnology based hospital. Good Sam is also the flagship of all Arizona hospitals .Good Sam is also a Magnet hospital.

      Cons

      Banner should look at the big picture instead of the little one financially. The nursing ratio is beginning to not be appropriate considering more patients are coming in later than they needed to do, their care is more complex. I feel that they look at their budgets instead of their employees which is the best investment over all. Employee retention will save this company money in the long run.
