Pros

Banner is a large company with locations all over the valley.

Cons

From the CEO down to upper management, Banner is a money-hungry company that cares very little for its employees. Human Resources is a joke, and acts only as a Sheila to protect management and Banner from treating its employees decently. Banner's culture of care doesn't match their behaviors.

Pros

It's easy to commiserate with all your coworkers about the low pay, crummy benefits, nonexistent morale, and never ending stream of bad news.

Cons

Low pay, crummy benefits, nonexistent morale, never ending stream of bad news. Everything seems to be at the expense of the employees. Management does not care about employees, they only care about the bottom line. Mission statement “We exist to make a difference in people's lives through excellent patient care" is a joke. Should be "We exist to make a difference in our lives by making money for ourselves"

Pros

I work some talented and warm-hearted people and have a great leader.

Cons

I find the benefits of working at Banner to be few and far between. There is no Rewards and Recognition program. There are no paid holidays. Employees are required to submit PTO hours for national holidays. I must use 8 hours of my very limited personal paid time off hours for every holiday (about 10 days of the year or 80 hours!) when the office is closed and I cannot even choose to work. I have never known this to be the case for any other organization. Just another way that Banner is choosing to reduce costs instead of showing support and compassion for their employees. This does not make for very engaged employees who feel valued!
