Pros

There are some really good clinicians there (RN's, PT's, etc) that truly care about their patient.

Cons

I worked there for approx 8 months. Over that course of time 1/2 of my monthly earned PTO was used for low census. Not all of this was due to low census. A good portion of it was due to poor logistical planning and distribution of resources by upper management.. and I paid (myself) the price. Banner cites core behaviors such as: teamwork, communication, ownership, etc. However, they just cite it. For each of their "core behaviors" they pride themselves on I could cite multiple examples of the opposite exhibited by management, coworkers, etc. Also there are many employees that do as little as possible during their home visit. How exactly is a PT supposed to accomplish anything or demonstrate patient care when they are at the patient house for 21 minutes? Banner likes these employees though. If Banner offered me $150k/yr I still would not go back to work for them! They are THE WORST organization I have ever worked for!

Pros

Many hospitals, makes it great for extra shifts. Good cafeteria.

Cons

Was fired on trumped up causes in July. Was a Sitter for too many patients, incident happened while PT was restrained. Very unsafe conditions, Banner runs short staffed often. Asked for another sitter, none was available. Was a great employee, never even written up. Alerted manager before investigation, she changed her tune later and did not back me up. Common theme with sitting incidents here, guys. Also, Pay is very low. Went back to Honor, far superior hospital.

Pros

Benifits are decent. Good equipment

Cons

Banner is trying to save cost by increasing RN patient load. This winter the pt load has been heavy. RN are leaving, Managers are leaving. RN's are suppose to be patient advocates. Manager's are suppose to be employee and patient advocates. This is no longer possible. Moral is poor.
