Senior people leave BSC by default and they are not being replaced. PhD students struggle a lot. Some of them quit PhD - Long-term workers are burned out. Weird work-from-home policy: You can't work from home on Monday or Friday or a day that is next to a bank holiday. If they paid for your college tuition you may have to stay for a minimum period of time or pay them back. The "new building" is already too small while it is under construction, we will see how this goes when they (finally) open it. Worst employee website ever + many nonsense procedures related to it. People come and go that much that projects are often moving around without following any clear direction. The only way to grow within the company is to obtain a PhD, sometimes it is not enough either. There is an annual cringefest, I mean, meeting... that I was told it was mandatory to assist. It gets worse year after year, and it seems that this replaces the traditional Christmas dinner that we do not have. The salary is way lower than in the industry, specially for computer scientists: If you pretend to do something more than paying the rent and your bills, better avoid this place.
