Pros

Sometimes we got free food at the office. Also, the other arborists I worked with, the men with their feet on the ground doing all of the actual work, were great. I met a lot of good, hard working people. That's it.

Cons

No work/life balance (You will literally work 10+ hour days every single day for 5 or 6 days a week.), Micromanagement (The reps will constantly monitor you when they can.), No sick time, Hardly any accrued time off (I was told before I got there that everyone got at least 2 weeks off per year. I only got 1 week off.), and the turnover rate is ridiculously high. No one wants to stay there (and for good reason).

Pros

-Pay is ok -Benefits (after 3 months) -Could move up if you are able to stick around

Cons

-It is very physically demanding -Benefits only kick in after 60 days after your first month (so 3 months) -You get trained on the client's time so if the sales reps don't sell enough hours you don't get training to move up. -Different offices are run differently depends a lot on the manager -When you start the day you don't know when you are going home it could be 1pm or 6pm. -Overtime occurs but is rare: big events like storms and hurricanes

Pros

Most of the people were great to work with.

Cons

Where to begin? Management inept/overwhelmed. The technology was practically non-existent, very out-of-date, circa early 1990s-type report running and timesheet entering. Pay was mediocre, benefits were mediocre, office environment was downright shabby, virtually no training and clique-y.
