Often a lot of politics and a lot of people who aren’t open to change, salary wasn’t amazing

There is a huge disconnect with the owner and the majority of the employees. He doesn’t seem to realize that as the owner of the company a lot of people are going to say what they believe he wants to hear and not necessarily what’s truly on their minds. It really Disney matter how hard and dedicated of a worker you are as long as you are personally liked by the executive team. There is also a lot of backstabbing and sabotaging going on within mid level management. Almost a watch your back type situation. Promotions are usually given based on personal feelings versus someone’s ability to do the job. This has created several employees being placed in positions where their clearly in over their head. They have had a few terminations of mid level managers in the past few years who never should have been in those positions to begin with. The morale is pretty low in the corporate office.
