Pros

The people I directly work with are great. Everyday is something different, lots of variety. Great work experience and learning organization. You may have to push for it but you can work in all different fields within the company.

Cons

I will be more honest about the cons once I'm no longer an employee. To sum things up; if you're an employee primarily working in the field, chances are upper management is going constantly ask for more and more and more out of you and restrict your personal life along with it. Every new company policy seems to directly affect field staff making our jobs more difficult and less enjoyable.

Leadership-where did it go?

Pros

Good people to work with....interesting projects and clients. The technical expertise is great and the past leadership is greatly missed.

Cons

ever since the equity partner got involved the company has gone to "heck in a hand basket" as they say. The new leadership, board and President, is really clueless about the business...specifically the President.....he has no idea what our business is about, how to win business or how to lead. He is ruining the company and I seriously doubt the company will be around for many more years.

Pros

The company has had major changes in leadership since 2022 with most of the previous C suite retiring. This could have been a concern but I've only seen positive changes since the transition, such as a lessening in crunch and changes within company policies that make sense in the long-term. Bay West has an incredible culture of recognition which I'm happy to see carry through to the present day as well.

Cons

As of 2023, the company is growing quickly which will always cause pain points as well as opportunities for career growth. The biggest con at the moment is that the company is still figuring a few things out as it transitions from a 100-person company to a 200+ sized firm. I can see improvements being made regularly but for some, the changes needed with the growth may feel uncomfortable.
