Pros

Its true that the culture cant be beat, and thats straight up due to the people who work here. There is definately a profile for technical people who are hired as young, smart, interesting, and ready to leave their mark. Management seems to know what their doing, and are a whole bunch of MBAs with experience going public. The IPO will be huge.

Cons

See the other review about no work life balance. That sums it up. Huge pressures to hit goals in asf, with the goals set behind closed doors and no weigh in from the people who have to do the work. There is no spare time in tech roles, so everyone is already over worked and cannot enjoy the unlimited vacation policy because it just hurts the other team members when your away. And like the other review says, the compensation is average or below average because they are counting on workers counting on the IPO.

Great Company but no work life balance

Pros

Amazing coworkers, free snacks and drinks, constant learning opportunities, lots of charity work opportunites, fun environment, get treated like as an equal from management, you feel empowered to try to make things better, very rewarding when your clients launch with BV products for the entire world to see and use. Huge feeling of accomplishment and celebration when goals are met, especially in Sales. They have many people with great leadership skills on Sr. Management.

Cons

Workload is very unmanageable. The majority of the people in implementation are working 60 - 90 hours EVERY week. Ironic, as the company is very particular about who they hire, and want people that are very involved in other things, yet the workload requires you to give it all up once you start working there. People get burned out easily if they don't force themselves to have a good work/life balance and it is hard to draw that line when you know you will let clients, coworkers, and the company down. Unless you were one of the first employees....the stock options don't make up for this. I'm not sure if the mentality is that all should be working 80 hours a week because they still think it is a startup....but it's not and the stock options they have given over the last year are a joke. Many people predict a huge mass exodus if the company goes public.

Pros

The people. The energy. The outlook. This is the most forward looking and positive environment I've ever worked in. The amount of respect that people hold for each other is impressive. From the lowest ranks to the CEO, the respect is mutual all around. Everyone has an opportunity for input and all of it is considered. I am very impressed with open and honest communication at all levels.

Cons

There is a lot of work to do here so the hours are long. Be prepared to put in some big hours. The upside is that the company provides a very relaxed environment and are supportive and understanding when you need a break.
