Pros

The work itself was genuinely enjoyable. I had the opportunity to collaborate with a variety of brands and retailers, including some I hadn’t previously considered, which made the role both interesting and educational. Building partnerships was rewarding, and the day-to-day responsibilities could be engaging and fun.

Cons

The workplace culture was extremely cliquish and, at times, unprofessional. Disagreements were often followed by gossip, and it felt like colleagues frequently spoke negatively about one another. Attempts to seek guidance or support sometimes turned into conversations filled with unnecessary drama rather than constructive advice. Some moments felt inappropriate, such as being told to “smile more” by a sales rep during a client-facing call. Overall, the environment felt more like a high school dynamic than a professional setting. Management did not provide the level of support or leadership needed to foster a healthy team culture.

Pros

There is some room to explore new ideas and take ownership of work, which can help with individual learning

Cons

The work culture is deeply flawed and driven more by internal politics than actual performance. Merit often takes a backseat, while favoritism plays a major role in decisions. Senior management is largely ineffective and appears disconnected from what is really happening on the ground. There is a clear bias toward certain individuals, which makes the environment feel unfair and demotivating. Instead of encouraging talent and contribution, the culture tends to reward visibility and personal alignment with leadership. This leads to low morale, lack of trust, and limited growth for those who are not part of the “favored circle.”
