The upper management at Bechtel are far too shortsighted. Management has no sense of loyalty to employees who have sacrificed quite a lot for the company.

Cons

Very heavy with middle management so promotions are slow and rare. Most IS&T managers were once developers or have a technical background which seems to prohibit their ability to effectively lead a team. In IS&T it's a very high-stress deadline driven environment
