A fantastic firm to work for with 'people first' at the heart of their business
Pros
A genuinely nice team who are comfortable with change despite the majority having a really long tenure (I'm new to the business and prior to arriving was quite worried about the length of time people had been in position as I felt they could be stuck in their ways - they are not). The business is innovative, the people are kind and fun, but also efficient and motivated. There's lots of flex to move to different roles in the business and people are not pigeonholed. Access to management is simple - I'm comfortable enough to pick up the phone or email the CEO and everyone in between. I've not yet met anyone who made me feel uncomfortable, small, or that I didn't offer value - the team I've met (both in the US and EMEA) are all lovely - there's no one I wouldn't want to spend work or leisure time with and I'm gutted that lock down has restricted that. I've been given a really exciting role and been supported enough (but in a fairly hands off way, which suits me) and given exposure to and time from the teams I need to deliver my work, which has made starting only two months before COVID lock downs a lot easier! I'm really happy that I found this role and to work for Beeline.
Cons
EMEA vs US can be challenging at times, with different expectations on work life balance and quite US centric internal messaging (the majority of the team are in the US so no big surprise) etc. The pension is low compared to any other business I've worked for. Reply all email volumes are pretty high (but underpinning that is the sense that everyone is equal and their view valid - sometimes it's an amusing number for us EMEA crew from the US team overnight though!).
