Pros

Amazing and supportive supervisors and team members You get a budget to purchase reinforcers for your kiddos

Cons

Client cancellations and the distance of commuting to each location as well as spending unpaid time outside of work to find reinforcers or go to office did not make the overall compensation worth it to me personally. I had a very run down car and the nature of the job was just not feasible in my financial circumstances. The compensation is definitely higher than other places I've worked at.

Thanks for your feedback! We are glad to hear you found your work here to be a great work environment, with flexible scheduling! We always strive to work with our Behavior Technicians (BTs) so that we can schedule them work around school or other commitments. A position as a BT is great experience - we provide high quality, extensive training from the start, to ensure every one of our staff feels properly trained before working on their own with clients. As for cancellations, they do happen; but we try our best to re-assign BTs to other clients during the same time, or offer partial pay for the session, if the cancellation was short notice. We wish you the best in your future endeavors!

Thanks for your input. Our organization prides itself on treating all employees with the utmost of care, respect and professionalism. It is part of our ethical code, and explicitly stated in our Employee Handbook. With regards to training, we provide a comprehensive training to every single hired clinical employee. Even those coming with years of experience are required to complete our Initial Training Program, which consists of a minimum of 40 hours of didactic training. Beyond that, at the technician level (entry level), new hires are placed in the field with clients, ALWAYS accompanied by either a Case Manager or experienced Behavior Technician (BT) or Senior BT. Over the course of 6-8 sessions, each new hire is trained, hands-on, in the various aspects of what will be their job, including data collection, running skill acquisition programs, managing behaviors, and parent training, to name but a few. Our extensive training is among the most touted elements of others' reviews, as the vast majority of our staff (coming with experience) have never seen such comprehensive training given at the very start. From there, managers and supervisors provide weekly supervision to our BTs, offering praise for things done well, and helpful suggestions for what needs improvement. This quality supervision is yet another highly commented "PRO" often found in our company's reviews. Best of luck.
