Pros

The company was good, they gave a lot of training and provided a lot of support from supervisors, and BCBAs. The pay was not good when I was there.

Cons

Micromanaging from supervisor, made an already difficult job even tougher. The guidance is nice but sometimes too much.

Pros

CEUs, trainings, pay, tech (phone etc)

Cons

No work life balance, no acknowledgement for accomplishments, clinical team gets blamed for everything even if it's an admin error, no voice especially when bringing up admin and HR concerns, KPI and PSR with unattainable and unrealistic standards created by a team that's not in the field

We are so sorry to read of your concerns. Your experience at BLN is important to us and we take your feedback seriously. At BLN, we value every one of our fantastic BCBAs. We strive to provide recognition for their contributions on a regular basis, whether it comes as shout outs on our staff recognition platform, during bi-weekly group supervision meetings, monthly individual supervision meetings, or during monthly performance reviews. I am sorry if you did not receive the recognition I am sure you deserved. I am also sorry to hear you felt our standards are unattainable and unrealistic. Although BLN does have high standards for our care, our caseloads are very reasonable for the field (avg: 10 cases for full time BCBAs). These standards were designed by our leadership team, consisting of multiple BCBAs, some of whom have more than 30 years of experience in the field, and with client and staff care at top of mind. They were also directly tested in the field to confirm the reasonableness of the expectations. Despite the high standards we expect, most of our BCBAs meet these standards, suggesting they are attainable and realistic. Additionally, we do not require supervisors to cover direct sessions when caseloads exceed 80 hours per month. This ensures they have the time to provide the regular supervision or clients and staff deserve. When these standards are not met, we work with our Supervisors to identify the barriers and conditions needed for success and develop individualized plans and supports to maximize the opportunities for success. Blame is simply not part of our culture. I am sorry to hear you felt you did not have a voice. BCBAs are all assigned an Assistant Clinical Director or Clinical Director, and provided the space to discuss any concerns they have on a monthly basis in the context of individual supervision meetings. Ultimately, your satisfaction and the success of all our employees, past and present, are of utmost importance to us. We truly value your feedback. Please reach out to our HR Team if you would like to reconnect.
