I found working for Belk was a great experience. I had terrific co-workers, and managers.

Cons

Staffing was sporadic and I didn't always have the proper help in my departments.

Pros

Sometimes you get free food. I enjoyed my fellow employees.

Cons

Belk is a poorly managed company from the store level all the way to corporate. They do not care about their customers or their employees. They will work you to death during the holiday season and then cut you down to practically no hours in January. They have low pay and it’s very difficult to get a raise. They never get your schedule out in a timely manner. It was very common to get your schedule one day before you had to work it.
