Discounts are great, double discount days are even better. Employee discount works with coupons. Scheduling is done online and you can request days off easily and they are very fair working around my schedule. Management is great at my store! Store manager is out on sales floor all the time, she waits on customers, rings them up and frequently works on setting up merchandise.

Cons

Walmart pays cashiers more. Belk loses money by letting customers return items that should NEVER be returned (I had a lady return a dress because she decided it didn't look nice after being worn 3 times w/out ever washing it! Gross!)

Pros

Very flexible with working around my school schedule and when I had exams or other work and needed to take time off. The managers and associates I worked with were all very helpful and very fun to be around. Commission on sales for the area we work in is also nice to get a little extra money around the holidays.

Cons

After school, I wasn't able to get a lot of extra hours (move from part time to full time or something to that effect) so I've kind of had to juggle finding extra work to keep myself afloat financially.
