      Horrible Management

      Pros

      Got enough hours and the work was fairly easy and there were some great people to work with

      Cons

      Unorganized, management ignored certain departments and favored others, Holiday pay was only given to select employees even though we all worked same 12 hour shift, very few advancement opportunities

      Pros

      The family atmosphere among employees is very commendable. There is a sense of working as a team and helping each other with attaining goals. The management is caring and helpful.

      Cons

      The yearly reviews are a joke. You can reach all your sales goals, credit goals and have positive feedback from customers on the surveys AND be called out to the staff as one of the most PRODUCTIVE associates in the store and STILL only get cents for a raise. It is NOT a way to encourage the associates. We need more pay. We need to be recognized in a monetary way when we succeed.

      Co workers, flexible hours, excellent department manager.

      Cons

      After Belk purchased Parisian the store atmosphere felt like Walmart. The store had a magical feel when owned by Donald Hess, I'll never forgive him for selling! The salary in ladies shoes department was 8% commission. Employee discount was 40%.
