      No pros with this company! Health insurance is a benefit, not a pro

      Cons

      Demanding management does not acknowledge hard workers, too much focus on Belk credit cards in a recession, unreasonable and impersonal management, associates can not focus on sales due to merchandising and replenishing, hours are unpredictable and constantly cut, with low hourly pay, excessive turnover

      - Business is booming - Discount on purchases at the store

      Cons

      - "Full time" is 35 hours a week - In order to be a full time employee, you must be available every day of the week, all hours. (Forget trying to take any classes or scheduling events for your kids) - Bare minimum of recognition for a job well done (if you get that much) - Standards for sales change every other week, apparently at division's whim - Store can be a top 10 sales performer within the company and still get chewed out on a weekly basis, leading to them making the sales associates miserable
