      Excellent staff and attentive managers.

      Cons

      You can be fired if you do not get enough people to open charge accounts every month, and you are required to keep pushing the credit card until the customer says 'No' at least 3 times...

      As retail sales go, it was fine.

      Pros

      Reasonable staff and hours, decent management if not exceptional, work varied somewhat, enjoyed meeting public and helping people find what they wanted.

      Cons

      Retail work isn't always easy and this was true. Could have used some more help at times, but understand economic issues.

      Hard work for little pay and no recognition for it at all

      Other than a discount on items there are none.

      Cons

      Hard work, multitasking, precious little pay and no recognition for much of anything. The only thing you are given credit for when reviews come around are sales per hour and there is MUCH more to it than that. I am changing my way of doing things and will no longer pay any attention to anything but sales. To hell with all the other busy work, if sales is all that counts that is what I will do from here on.
