      Abysmal management of human capital

      Employee discount on all merchandise.

      Cons

      Senior leaders, particularly in human resources, lack integrity, trustworthiness, and the ability to inspire employees. Unfortunately, their motives and intentions seem self-serving, cunning, and underhanded. Employees are treated as disposable property, rather than as assets.

      (1) Employee discount and frequent double discount days. (2) Pleasant atmosphere and co-workers.

      Cons

      Since the recent buyout by a holding company, wages have dropped dramatically for commissioned salespeople due to no more non-pro hours (approximately $300 per bi-weekly paycheck!!) Point system for tardies and callouts is unrealistic and punitive. It is obvious the company is trying to get rid of all commissioned and full-time positions, and replace us with poorly paid part-timers in order to save money.

      Co-workers, the only saving grace.

      Cons

      Where to start? Pay cuts significant ones..you can go backwards..instead of forward...change in merchandise to low quality. Understaffed..overloaded merchandise on the floor,..horrible scheduling....diversity instead of quality employees. Corporate turned out the experienced for the inexperienced, creating poor merchandise, too much of it and removal of the merchandise that brought in the loyal customers...horrible communication! Mixed messages from management.......and on it goes.
