      Pros

      Direct line of sight to senior leadership. Well compensated. New leadership team is very strong, and will likely be credited with saving this company and bringing them into the new world of retail.

      Cons

      A lot of change since being sold. Re-org's never seem to stop. Legacy employees (prior to selling) keep their heads down. Employee morale is low, over-all.

      Double discount (40%) on goods inside the store

      Cons

      Gee where do I start. Equipment and techniques are unorganized and outdated. If you have worked for another major retailer before Belk, I promise you will cry wishing you didn't leave your prior retail job

      Once an incredible company; Now no longer Belk

      Pros

      Great friends made along the way.

      Cons

      Wiped out almost all original Belk employees at corporate. Belk employees with tenure were nicknamed "Legacy" employees. Long hours, some have worked almost 24 hours straight to meet ridiculous deadlines and keep their jobs.
