      Pros

      Solid discount, co-workers were decent, and there's a gym.

      Cons

      Since the acquisition Belk has steadily been getting worse culturally and you can't trust senior managements word.. It's a very uncertain environment to work in. Definitely would stay away from most areas of the company.

      Overworked, underpaid, little to no room for growth within the company, very poor management, negative work environment, very small annual raises (i.e. 5-10 cents)

      Inexperienced and Immature Leadership in Women's

      Pros

      Overall direction of the company seems well thought out. They have brought in some very strong leaders with great experience.

      Cons

      A clear shake-up is needed in Women's. Starts with weak, immature, and inexperienced leadership at the top. Too much gossip stems from the "clicky" leadership team. Some from other teams describe the atmosphere like the "mean girls". It is often the last place people look to apply for open jobs. Most would prefer jobs on other teams before that division.
