Pros

Decent medical and dental coverage. When you find the right people, you can really make lasting relationships.

Cons

Unless you kiss the right butts, moving up is impossible. The company does not care about investing in their employees.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We are sorry it was not a good one for you. The company does care about investing in our associates. We have the Bell BASIC and Bell BOLD program where associates can earn certifications to help them gain additional knowledge and skills. Our Annual Reviews and Mid-Year Pulse checks are designed to help associates learn more about their strengths and developmental opportunities. If you have specifics you want to share, we want to hear them. Please feel free to contact Mary at 336-232-1967.

Pros

Good benefits. Room for advancement, if you're okay eating a mouthful of politics and a constantly missing stapler. They cut staplers out of the budget--sorry pal.

Cons

The greed is unpalatable. Demanding..no appreciation. I worked on a large (400 unit) property and leased roughly half the apartments in the barely two years I was there; I was good at my job, yet I was given a 2% raise after my 2nd (positive) yearly review. As an employee living onsite, my "reduced rent" was increased at rate of 7% per year, which by my math means the company turns a profit off their employees as well. Corporate expectations are sky-high, but they give the onsite managers so little empowerment that even dealing with resident complaints is a chain of politics and micro-management (meanwhile every time I picked up the phone one was yelling in my ear)! I say this, b/c I witnessed it repeatedly. there were about 5 managers rotated through the property over those two years, the only other consultant in the office changed half a dozen times, and the property was sold barely 2 months after I began employment. I ended up working every weekend for about 2 months straight after my 1st coworker quit, and I was barely trained at that point. It took me months to get all my files straight, and they didn't hire another employee for weeks and weeks. SAD!

I'm not going to give you a scripted response, because, quite frankly we don't have any. A live person reviews all posts and responds, as appropriate. I'm truly sorry you had a bad experience. I share this advice with anyone who reads these responses. If you are having issues in your place of employment, find someone with whom you can speak so you can see if there is a way to resolve the issue. In the words of Henri-Frederic Amile: "Life is short and we have not too much time for gladdening the hearts of those who are traveling the dark way with us."

Pros

Great pay and bonuses and great sense of teamwork.

Cons

Nothing much is wrong with working here. Problems with CM and RM at times, but it's always handled.
