Pros

The pay and benefits are decent enough and the company is large enough to allow for plenty of movement. I do think corporate tries their best. They talk the talk at least and come across as genuine if not somewhat aloof.

Cons

This does not apply to all but more than a majority - Middle management sucks the life out of this company - they so strongly cling to the company’s hierarchy that if you’re not a Community Manager, you don’t exist and it’s best that you are seen and not heard. Decisions are not made based on facts but on their false sense of superiority - they take sides in employee conflicts based off personal relationships and terminate the opposing employee who was not in the wrong. Incidents of bullying and belittlement are not rare nor isolated nor are incidents of racial harassment. And you may as well go ahead and buy your own bus because they will be throwing you under one quite frequently. If a resident gets an answer from us they don’t like and call corporate, whatever you said doesn’t matter and they get what they want - completely undermining your authority and making you look dumb. You could be disparaged and have libel/slanderous statements made about you and not a thing is done about it because we’d hate to lose the 0.5% occupancy if they don’t renew.
