Pros
1) Good compensation for freshers. 2) Decent annual hikes. 3) Great Parties for Company's birthday and New Year. 4) Strong technical senior staff. 5) Over time is paid which is unique to IT companies.
Cons
1) Poor Managers - The company director in India has no control over management decisions and has to get everything approved from US Office. He has no information about the upcoming projects, work in current projects and the future goals of the company. 2) Spying Management - The PC's are loaded with codes which take screenshots from your PC. Browsing histories and chat logs are monitored by the management. Cameras are installed in pantry and are being planned for other areas. 3) No challenging work - There are no projects which can create challenging environment for the developers. After a period of time, the work becomes repetitive and most of the work is web-based and boring. 4) No HR Involvement - HR has no role in the organization apart from processing salaries (which ideally should be done by a CA) and organizing cakes and parties. 5) Late Salaries/Appraisals - Salary is credited by 7th or 8th of every month. Appraisals are delayed by at least 2 months. 6) Over Cautious Company Owner - As it is a privately owned company, the company owner is over-involved in each activity. He monitors each and every action of each employee rather than focusing on company's progress and project acquirement. He is not willing to delegate decision making powers to management guys in India offices.
