Pros

Compensation, including benefits. The family feel of the company makes Berkshire Communities a wonderful place to work. The support of each team member is by far the best I've ever encountered in my short 7 month tenure.

Cons

I haven't found a con so far!

Pros

They do EXACTLY as they say...working for this company is such a refreshing change in this industry because they don't just talk the talk, telling you what you want to hear and then go MIA; NO, they walk the talk and follow up on everything they say they'll do!! They literally embody ethical, sound business strategies that are "user friendly" and the kind of actions I can, want to and do stand behind 100%. 2 1/2 years ago when I came to work for this company, I thought to myself, "Is this too good to be true??" Well, they've proven themselves "trustworthy" and true to form. I couldn't be happier, best choice I ever made!!

Cons

Oh, I'm kind of silly because I always think all corporations are all WAAAY to corporate and I always wish they could be more chill about "all the numbers". However, that of course is NOT how business works, but as long as Berkshire can recognize those of us, who operate a little "outside the box" and can see where we are coming from, then I say, "It's all good!!" By the way, one of the core values for Berkshire is "Be different" so, yes, they definitely embrace "coloring outside the lines" a bit!!

Pros

The company is incredibly involved in the growth of their people; when they ask questions - they actually listen to the answer. Although a large and continuously growing company, you really do feel close knit like a family which is unusual for most REITs. They provide countless opportunities for growth, development and training for on site employees such as a porter to executive levels like a regional or area manager.

Cons

It would be nice to see them venture into the suburbs as most properties are located at the city center.
