Pros

The benefits are great (when you buy Best Buy brand especially), the pay is well above average, and the hours are very flexible.

Cons

The management is very biased, especially when considering for supervisor and leadership positions. They also feel very unorganized. I didn't like the switch from TRUST, making sure the customer has everything they need and making sure they are satisfied, to Sales Excellence, which is basically 'let's get the total price on they're receipt really, really high'. The employees are very laid-back casual, and don't communicate with the customers as well as they should. Most of them don't even know what the heck they're talking about or selling, just reading off the cards at the bottom or the product when they think the customer isnt looking. Portable Electronics is. very. very. understaffed.

Pros

Great support for students, both financially and for scheduling. You get to paid to learn about electronics. There is a great culture around building friendships with co-workers. Very LGBTQ friendly.

Cons

Senior leadership often fails to deliver the knowledge and tools to support the stores. There is not enough training for employees. Line level employees get paid as if they were stocking shelves as opposed to being salespeople.
