Pros

Easy-going work environment coupled with desire to win makes Best Buy a great place for a younger person or college student to work. The employee discount is amazing and as a general rule lower-level management and supervisors come from within the company, so you're usually being led by somebody who has done what you're doing and knows what limitations are faced in your work environment. In my store, employees really worked together to get the job done, which makes everybody's life significantly easier.

Cons

Little is offered in terms of annual raises or promises of advancement. You kind of have to find a job, get good at it, and hope a position opens up someday that needs somebody in your field.

Pros

For the most part, most of the managers and employees are great to work with. They always try and do little things to increase the enjoyment off hours. Like have a game night or tournaments. If you need work with social skills you would learn TONS. I believe that everyone should learn sales some time in there life. It's a skill and can come very useful in many peoples lives. There are pretty hot chicks that work there so you do get to spend a lot of time with them. Most of the managers are pretty cool to work with.

Cons

They push sales like its nothing. Every single department has something that you have to sell, or promote. Even cashiers, and media people. You have to be a good at sales your going to have a terrible time. They want you to sell everything. Example i worked in computer sales. In one transaction they would want me to sell the computer, printer, ink, paper, surge protector, back up battery, geek squad, anti-virus, AOL, mouse, keyboard, service plan, flash drive, and then try and get them to go over the media so that everyone there can try to sell them stuff too.
