Pros

Very flexible and family friendly. Your Best Buy career is definitely what you make of it and the company is great at allowing employees to pursue their passions.

Cons

Best Buy is very good at giving people positive feedback, but not very good at negative feedback. Often, people who are not qualified will be allowed to apply for jobs multiple times simply to be passed over for other candidates (and rightly so). Most employees are very talented, but sometimes under-performers are allowed to stay too long.

Pros

Discount is great and coworkers are friendly.

Cons

A lot expected of associates VERY quickly. This is not a retail position. It is a non-commissioned sales position that is tracked throughout your shift.

Pros

Great employee discounts , however the pay scale is poor and management tend to treat staff like servants which are generally ignored BUT constantly harassed to perform in a superhuman manner when staff is being cut back to unreasonable levels. Of course the management blames inaction for poor results. Perhaps they should dispose of the computerized scheduling system which only allows maximum staffing at projected high traffic periods.

Cons

Management doesn't like to listen to staff recommendations or request for help.
